How to connect your website

Step 1: Website Requirements

• Ensure your website is running Joomla 4 or newer.
• Make sure your site is using HTTPS (SSL).
• Go to System -> Global Configuration and ensure Search Engine Friendly URLs is set to Yes.

Step 2: Enable Web Services & Fix Authentication

Go to System -> Plugins and search for "Web Services". Apply these changes:

• Enable: Web Services - Content
• Enable: Web Services - Users
• Enable: Web Services - Menus
• Enable: API Authentication - Joomla Token
• Disable: API Authentication - Web Services Basic Auth (Crucial to avoid conflicts)

Step 3: Generate Your API Token

• Go to Users -> Manage and open your user profile (Super User recommended).
• Switch to the Joomla API Token tab.
• Toggle API Token to Enabled.
• Copy the generated token. You will need it for the app.

Step 4: Connect the iPhone App

• Open the app on your iPhone.
• Tap the + button to add a new site.
• Enter your website URL (e.g., https://yourwebsite.com).
• Paste your API Token.
• Tap Add Site and you're ready to go!
