DigiSys Web Services s.r.o. ("Company", "we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you visit our website, use our applications, software, plugins, or related digital services (collectively, the "Services").

By accessing or using our Services, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide to Us

  • Name and email address
  • Company details
  • Billing information
  • Account credentials
  • Website URLs and Joomla API tokens (when adding sites to our mobile apps)
  • Any information you submit through contact forms or support requests

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

When you use our website or mobile applications, we may automatically collect:

  • IP address
  • Device type, operating system, and app version
  • Browser type (website only)
  • Apple Push Notification device tokens (when you enable push notifications)
  • Device identifier (vendor ID, used for app authentication)
  • Crash reports and diagnostic data

1.3 Information from Third Parties

We may receive information from:

  • Apple (App Store purchase receipts, subscription status)
  • Your Joomla websites (site name, Joomla version, content data accessed through the Joomla REST API)

2. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain our Services
  • Connect our mobile apps to your Joomla websites via their REST API
  • Deliver push notifications about events on your websites (new content, site status changes, available updates)
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions through Apple In-App Purchases
  • Detect when Joomla updates are available for your websites
  • Respond to inquiries and provide support
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell personal data to third parties.

3. Data Storage

3.1 On Your Device

Our mobile apps store the following data locally on your device:

  • Site credentials (URL, name) in the app database
  • Joomla API tokens in the iOS Keychain (encrypted by the operating system)
  • Notification preferences and history in local storage
  • Subscription status

3.2 On Our Relay Server

To deliver push notifications, our relay server (push.digisysweb.com) stores:

  • Apple Push Notification device tokens
  • Website URLs and site names you registered for notifications
  • Per-site notification preferences (which event types you enabled)
  • Joomla version of your registered websites (used to detect available updates)
  • Notification delivery logs (event type, delivery status, timestamp)

3.3 On Your Joomla Websites

Our Joomla plugin does not store any additional personal data. It uses your existing Joomla API token for authentication and sends event notifications (new article published, new user registered) to our relay server for push delivery.

4. Push Notifications

When you enable push notifications for a website:

  • Your device token and site URL are sent to our relay server
  • Our Joomla plugin sends event data (article titles, usernames) to the relay server when events occur on your website
  • The relay server monitors your website availability and sends offline/online notifications
  • The relay server periodically checks for new Joomla versions and sends grouped update notifications

You can disable push notifications at any time per site in the app, or globally in iOS Settings.

5. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), we process personal data under the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract — to provide the Services you requested (connecting to your websites, delivering notifications)
  • Legitimate interests — to maintain and improve our Services, prevent fraud
  • Consent — for push notifications (you explicitly enable them per site)
  • Legal obligations — to comply with applicable laws

6. Data Sharing

We may share information with:

  • Apple — device tokens via Apple Push Notification service (APNs) for push delivery; purchase receipts for subscription validation
  • Your Joomla websites — API requests are sent directly from your device to your websites; we do not proxy this traffic
  • Hosting provider — our relay server is hosted on shared hosting infrastructure
  • Legal authorities — when required by law

We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services in our mobile apps.

7. Data Retention

  • Relay server data — device tokens and site registrations are kept while active. Inactive registrations (unregistered sites) are soft-deleted. Invalid device tokens are automatically removed when Apple reports them as expired.
  • Notification logs — delivery logs are retained for operational purposes and periodically cleaned.
  • On-device data — stored until you remove the site from the app or delete the app.

When data is no longer required, it is securely deleted.

8. Data Security

  • All communication between the app and your Joomla websites uses HTTPS
  • All communication between the app and our relay server uses HTTPS
  • Joomla API tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain, encrypted by the operating system
  • Push notification delivery uses Apple's encrypted APNs protocol (HTTP/2 with TLS)

No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Restrict or object to processing
  • Data portability
  • Withdraw consent (e.g., disable push notifications)

To request deletion of your data from our relay server, contact us at the address below. You can delete all on-device data by removing your sites from the app or uninstalling the app.

10. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed outside your country of residence (relay server hosting, Apple Push Notification service). We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place as required by law.

11. App-Specific Information

11.1 Manager for Joomla!

This app connects to your Joomla websites using the Joomla REST API. It accesses and manages articles, categories, users, media, menus, modules, tags, custom fields, configuration, languages, and extensions. All API communication happens directly between your device and your Joomla website over HTTPS. The app uses our Joomla plugin to enable additional features: media upload, SSO login to Joomla admin, site maintenance (cache cleaning, check-in), and push notification webhooks.

11.2 Manager for VirtueMart

This app connects to your VirtueMart/Joomla websites using the Joomla REST API. It accesses and manages products, orders, categories, media, and VirtueMart configuration. The same security and data handling practices apply as described for Manager for Joomla!

11.3 GroupListo

This app does not connect to external servers or collect personal data beyond what Apple provides through App Store purchase receipts. All data is stored locally on your device and optionally synced via your personal iCloud account.

12. Third-Party Services

Our apps may interact with third-party platforms (your Joomla websites, Apple services). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

13. Children's Privacy

Our Services are not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
